Lesson 1: Picking Up Gusset Stitches

After turning the heel:

  • Pick up stitches along the heel flap.
  • Resume knitting in the round.
  • Work gusset decreases every other round until you’re back to the original stitch count.

This narrows the sock and prepares it for the foot.
